Research has shown the value that employers bring when they engage with schools is significant:
- Young adults who have greater levels of contact with employers whilst at school are
significantly less likely to become NEET (not in education, employment or training) and can expect, when in full-time employment, to earn up to 18% more than peers who had no such workplace encounters - Engagement not only allows employers to add value to schools and the lives of young
people, but young people and schools in turn give huge value to employers. Employers have said that volunteering their time to help young people has been really rewarding - Employers can bring valuable insight and ways of looking at learning from a different
perspective. This can be motivational and aspirational for students - Employers can be positive role models
