We welcomed our Year 7 families on Thursday 14 September to come and look around the school and meet their child’s Tutors.
The new Year 7’s showed pride and excitement to guide their families around the school. We are proud of the way they have settled in and look forward to working alongside their families into the future.
We are excited to be in the early stages of rehearsing for Beauty and the Beast. We have a team of about 40 students working hard on delivering this fantastic show.
The production will be in early December with dates and details of tickets to follow.
To help fund raise for the show Mrs Pinnions organised a flower arranging masterclass and donated the profits of this – an amazing £250 – to the show. Thank you Mrs Pinnions for your efforts to support the school community.
We have had a great few days back at school and have been so proud of our students for the way that they have managed the transition from the summer holiday.
Our new Year 7 students have made a fantastic start and we have loved welcoming them to our Ansford Community.
Students have returned with positivity and maturity – it has been a pleasure to see them engaging in their learning and managing the heat so well.
Thank you to families for supporting at home to ensure that they have started so well.
Congratulations to Year 11 Students
Ansford Academy is delighted to celebrate with students as they receive their GCSE results. Despite the unique and challenging circumstances that they have faced in the last few years, as well as the additional uncertainty created as grade boundaries returned to pre-pandemic levels, it is a pleasure to see our students achieve results enabling them to access their next steps.
Headteacher, Rachel Purnell, commented: “We have had a fantastic morning seeing our students receive their results. We are really pleased to see so many personal successes and triumphs with many students reaching their goals. We wish all of our Year 11 students the very best as they embark on the next stage of their education or future careers.”
Many congratulations to all our students, who have worked really hard, and a huge thank you for the support of their teachers and families. Whatever the outcome for each individual student today, it is important for our young people to remember that they are more than a set of grades on a slip of paper. They have shown great resilience in challenging conditions and all of the staff here at Ansford are very proud of what they have achieved.
As always, we will look forward to hearing news of our students’ achievements in the future as they will always remain part of the Ansford community and we hope they will stay in touch.
We’re excited to launch our new website. We think it does a much better job of reflecting our friendly school and showcasing everything we are so proud of about Ansford Academy. We hope that you will enjoy exploring it, find it easy to locate the information you need, and check back regularly for news and updates on life at our school. We welcome feedback and suggestions via [email protected].
